Knockoff Ninja #49 - Jeffrey Campbell "Coltrane"

Jeffrey Campbell "Coltrane" in Black Distressed available at Farfetch ($161.60), Jildor Shoes ($180.00), Karmaloop ($184.00), Nasty Gal ($185.00), Nordstrom ($199.95)

Wild Diva Lounge "Credence-11" in Black available at Make Me Chic ($32.90), UrbanOG ($33.20), Go Jane ($35.10)

I'm going to be totally honest here, I ordered these the same day I came across them. I've been waiting SO LONG for a quality, affordable Coltrane/Balenciaga dupe, and these are about as good as they're gonna get! I ADORE the creeper sole, probably way more than the original chunky rubber heel! I'm expecting these tomorrow, so I'll definitely append this post with a detailed review right after I get 'em :D

The Credence-11 is also available in a GORGEOUS Oxblood! GO GET SOME!

EDIT 7-26: Got 'em! They look great in person, and appear to be great quality. Both buckles are adjustable, which is good because they felt a little loose at first, even on my slightly wide feet. True to size. Really stoked to wear them out!

Happy shoe shopping!

Knockoff Ninja #48 - Jeffrey Campbell "Succession"

Jeffrey Campbell "Succession" in Black/White exclusive to Karmaloop SOLD OUT! (retailed $215.00)
Gabina in Black/White available at Make Me Chic ($58.00), AMI Clubwear ($66.99)

Super close, almost identical. My only gripe is that the platform isn't hidden/covered! GAH! If not for that, this shoe would *almost* be an exact replica. Still, good news for people looking for the now sold out Succession who are willing to compromise a bit.

I don't actually care for these too much, but they were way too close to not do a write up! I love the Damsel base to death, but not really in the form of an athletic-esque shoe.

Do you dig 'em?

Bre's Week/Instagrams 7-12-13

This has nothing to do with anything, but Terry and I can't stop laughing about it.

GAHHHH IT HAS BEEN FOREVER SINCE I'VE DONE ONE OF THESE. For that I am sorry. For some reason just thinking about doing them fills me with contempt, but as soon as I actually start typing, they go really fast and are a lot of fun. Huh? So I'm just gonna try to FORCE myself to continue with them. Ha!

We've missed a few weeks, but luckily you guys haven't missed out on much. Except for my badass DIY punkrock jacket. Oooooo that was awesome. Okay. I had this acid wash denim jacket that a friend gave me hanging in my closet for forever. Its presence was starting to get to me, but before it went in the donation box, I decided it could totally be revived. I got a bunch of turquoise fiber-reactive dye from Chev (who makes rad lace bibs with it!), and ordered a couple baggies of studs from studsandspikes.com because I couldn't decide which ones I'd want to use. I finally went with the English Punk 77 studs because I wanted something spike-esque, but I have a kid, so I didn't want to maim him with my hugs. I'm sure you can understand :P But here's what I came up with! I love it SO HARD and it gets so many freaking compliments!

After dyeing. Jade wanted to halp! Two rows of spikes in...Finished product! 97 studs staggered on the top back panel and the top left side!

We took in Terry's old dog Sidney for a while, before deciding it wasn't going to work out because of Terry's allergies :c He only went back to Terry's parents' house, but I miss snuggling with him a lot. WAHHHHH!

Been building up a badass makeup kit (my old one was lost in the move :c) for a wedding I get to do makeup for next month! I'm so excited! Practice run is tomorrow afternoon!

Jade was cute...

Last Saturday I went to my dear friend Chelsey's bachelorette party, which was SUCH A BLAST. Had brunch at her bridesmaid's house, then we rented a boat on Lake Union! GAHHHH such awesome times, listening to terrible early '00s pop and drinking beer. Then I met up with Terry and Jade at Terry's cousin Angela's wedding in Mountlake Terrace, which was beautiful. Awesome and EXHAUSTING weekend.

Alright! That's all I've got in me for this week :D See you guys next week! Have an awesome weekend! <3

Knockoff Ninja #47 - Taylor Says "Sharkie"

Taylor Says "Sharkie" in Grey available at Heels ($199.99)

Shark Pumps in Grey available at GoJane ($34.90), UrbanOG ($35.40)

I find it SO HILARIOUS that I had this post sitting in my drafts for about a week, and all of the sudden Kat Von D posts an Instagram of her wearing these shoes (and it looks like they run a bit big!). The DUPES, though, not the Taylor Says ones! How crazy! Imagining Kat Von D buying shoes that cost less than $100 makes me feel funny inside <3

If it were up to me to choose just by the facial expression of the shark, I'd pick the dupes, too. He looks more angsty and I love it :D

These also come in mint and a light peachy pink! Snatch 'em up before KvD's rabid fans do!

Happy shoe shopping!

July Favorites!

I'm super late to the party, but I just discovered Grav3yardgirl on Youtube and I'm in love with her! I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF HER NONSENSE! I also ADORE the idea of posting your favorite products and what-have-you every month. Now especially, since I'm getting back into doing makeup and I'm building up a massive kit for a wedding I'm doing next month! I've come across a ton of amazing products in my quest, and I wanted to share some of them with you!

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer available at Walmart ($8.00)

So, I'd never used a primer before, nor had I ever even thought one may be necessary. But after my bestie Sarah recommended it, I had to give it a shot to determine whether or not I'd like to keep it in my traincase. I HAVE BEEN TRANSFORMED. Seriously, after wearing this under my makeup a few times, I can't imagine NOT using it. Upon first opening it, I was horrified to find that it had separated in the tube and some liquid squirted out. This was quickly resolved by closing it up and giving it a good shake. It still felt a bit weird, I can't say 'gritty', but definitely more textured than I would have imagined it to be. I rubbed a small amount into my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin, and was astonished to find that this stuff made my skin feel SO AMAZING. My concealer and mineral foundation glided onto my face like a goddamn dream; perfectly even and flawless. I'm totally sold! I'll be getting this for my own use AND to keep in my kit as long as I can find it! (FIVE STARS)
Youngblood Natural Mineral Foundation available at Beauty Bridge ($42)

I have always been intrigued by mineral foundations since those Bare Minerals infomercials started making their rounds. While I'm normally skeptical of anything that has to be sold via television ad, I had also heard from a few people that it was actually amazing. I never did get a chance to try it, but I ended up with a bunch of this stuff from a dear old friend who had a bunch of it left over (unused!) from beauty school. I had never heard of this particular brand, so I looked it up on Beautylish and saw that people LOVED the stuff, but it was super pricey. I tried out the color "Neutral" with the included little foundation brush (which I also love!) and was freaking blown away. I have a ton of discoloration in my skin from old acne scars, dry patches that tend to get red, etc. This provided a total full coverage. Couldn't believe it. It got a tad cakey on my cheeks near my nose where my skin is dry, but I think that's just because I need to get used to applying this particular kind of makeup. Nothing that a little spritz of the next stuff couldn't fix, though... (FOUR STARS)

e.l.f. Makeup Mist and Set available at Target ($3.00)

I really needed a setting spray for my traincase. I was planning on (and still am, just in case) getting a more expensive spray like Model In A Bottle or Urban Decay's All Nighter, but I had read a couple nice things about e.l.f.'s version and figured for $3, you really can't lose. I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't have a scent like some people claimed. But it does spray out a bit weird, more like a shot than a nice mist, which I unfortunately have to dock some points for. But I'd say 3-5 sprays of this in sections on your face will do great. I used this on a ridiculously busy day when I had a bachelorette party to attend (on a boat on Lake Union!) and a wedding almost immediately afterward. Makeup looked good throughout the boat trip in the blazing sun. At one point I had to change quickly in my blazing hot car on the side of Nickerson in Seattle. I was pouring buckets of sweat, needless to say. My makeup somehow stayed put. I was pretty shocked! My eye makeup didn't even start to crease until WAY later that night, around 9ish. (FOUR STARS)

I hope you guys found this helpful! Have you ever used any of these products? Lemme know what you thought!

Shoes-day Tuesday #52 - Taylor Says

1. Taylor Says "Brossie" in Red/White $199.99
2. Taylor Says "Sydney" in Black/White $149.99
3. Taylor Says "Talia" in Explosion $169.99
4. Taylor Says "Pink Lady" in Pink Rhinestone $199.99
5. Taylor Says "Iris" in Black/White Leather $199.99
6. Taylor Says "Calavera" in Leopard $199.99

I ADORE THIS BRAND. In addition to the overall shoe being totally over the top (in a fabulous way!), the soles all have neat designs on them! Red bottoms? Pfffttt. How about some skull bottoms?! I am, of course, completely in lust with the "Iris", which has everything I could ever want in a shoe: a heelless wedge, black and white stripes, and multiple bold-colored straps! AHHHHH I WANT THEM SO BAD!

Which ones do you love? There are plenty more awesome styles to pick through over at Heels.com!

Happy shoe shopping!

Knockoff Ninja #46 - Jennifer Chou "Carmelo"

Jennifer Chou "Carmelo" in Neon Pink available at Solestruck ($99.95)

Privileged "Drama" in Pink available at Make Me Chic ($90.00), Bdonnas ($90.00), UrbanOG ($90.00), Go Jane ($91.00)

Privileged's version is most definitely inspired by Jennifer Chou's "Carmelo", but a little something is lost in the liberties taken with that middle strap. I don't really care for it. But the rest of the shoe is gorgeous! I wouldn't wear these myself, but I feel like someone out there will love 'em to death :D

Happy shoe shopping!
