So, I never even got to post about Mourning Market or anything! Gah! I've been a bundle of nerves what with starting counseling (super duper stress management, nothing to worry about) and job interviews(!). Hopefully I'll be among the working class again within a few weeks (even if only part-time)! Anyhow, MM was pretty good. It's always loads of fun, but this show was pretty slow compared to the others. Still, had an awesome time. Got a quick shot of the Toxic Heart booth:

Afterward, Chivahn and I went out for dinner and drinks with some of her friends at this great little mexican joint in Greenwood called El Chupacabra. Their boozy Arnold Palmer is to die for!

Other than that, I've got a few leftover crochet bows up in my Etsy shop, and I'm thinking about making some of my signature slouchy hats in a few different colors, if there's interest. Here's a shot of the back (where all the detail is):

Bre's Week In Links 3-23-12

SCHOOL. IS. OVER. I could not be more relieved. I'm still waiting on my final grades, but I'm 90% sure I didn't pass the practicum by like a measly 2%. It's alright, I tried! My overall GPA should be something like a 3.3, which I'm pretty proud of. Would have been much higher if not for that damn practicum! Still looking for a part time job, gonna spend my free time making more pretties for the shop and this Sunday's Mourning Market and then I'll see about entering into a graphic design certificate program in the fall and go from there. Not sure I can fully commit to a two year program just yet, but I've gotta start somewhere!

ANYHOW. On to the links!

AWESOME. One hundred punks crash city design meeting! It's being proposed that a landmark Seattle dive bar, The Funhouse, be torn down and condos be erected in its wake. NONONO. The Funhouse is amazing, and a place Terry and I stop into for a couple beers during Seattle visits. I really hope this doesn't go through!

Tiny boys and crochet times!

Man, the closer it gets to the 21st, the more my stress level drops, I swear. The end of school is very, very close and I am SO RELIEVED. It doesn't look as though I'm going to pass all three classes this quarter (the medical coding practicum is a DOOZY), but that's okay. I'm not feeling medical coding anymore, anyhow. We don't mesh well together. As long as my cumulative GPA is 2.0 or higher (as of last quarter I was sitting at a 3.5), I won't be responsible for paying financial aid back, which is great news. I was stressing pretty hardcore about being in debt to the school and not being able to get financial aid again for next fall.

Jade is awesome. He's getting noticeably heavier, he's starting to vocalize and dance a lot more and he's just all around adorable <3 He's currently super into Yo Gabba Gabba and PB&J sammiches.

Finished the Twinkie Chan cookie scarf last night! Had to make do with a baby pink I had on hand for the pink swirly cookies, but that's okay. It turned out great! Hahaha, this picture cracks me up. Lookit Jade go.

Anyhow, I'm off to finish up some more school work while the boy slumbers. I'll be back later with Music Monday (fingers crossed!).

Music Monday #17 - Phantogram

I'll cool it with the Sleigh Bells and go with Phantogram this week. So. Gorgeous. They're a little more trip-hop, which is another genre I adore. I think this album "Eyelid Movies" is my new obsession right now. That and Sleigh Bells' new album, of course :D
